Studs'n'Spikes

I love this punky-rebel-raww kinda trend. Not that it currently came up, but I still like to watch all over studed jackets or shoes walking over the catwalk. I mean how can something look dangerous and adorable at the same time? U can enhance ur whole outfit by choosing a so to say, beastly accessory like one of the examples on the picture added to this article. And no u don't have to give up ur girly girl kinda style, it merely brings up something new and diffrent to ur look. Rn't it opposites that attract? So why don't use this for an outfit!

Exept for the fact that u can definitely utilize shoes, bags or rings like these as a weapon when it comes to a mugging or anything, these shiny, sharp spikies r so hardly eye-catchers. But in that case u'd rather not wear any of these at the check-in at ur airport. Hello? Osama has never been so fashionable! I don't know why, but that's nothing the staff on the airport wants to know.

So yea, this trend may be a little bit troublesome to carry, but anyhow, beauty knows no pain!

The Twins

They r beautiful, multitalented and love it to dress oversized. Now due to the fact that this one is a fashion blog it’s not hard to think of who I’m talking about. Starting their career as sweet little Michelle in the TV-series ‘Full House’ in the 90’s, they more and more made themselves a name in the fashion scene. Beginning their cooperation with Walmart selling girly girl accessories in cute shapes for little teens, they r now having their own couture line ‘The Row’ since 2006. It’s feminine but emancipated even so playful! Part of the concept this brand has, is that it’s designs could be worn by different types of women in different ages. Important for them, founding this brand, was not to make it famous based on the name ‘Olsen’. Bringing up ideas like this, who can imagine them without each other? Yea, these pretty small ladies have been through skinny times so to say, but Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen can’t be thought out of fashion! Nearly every day we can see pictures in magazines, on the internet or on the tv, taken by random paparazzi, of the most stylish twins ever lived on this planet. Even if their style is often ill-reputed (e.g. called ‘homeless look’ by the New York Times), they r icons for people interested in fashion. Not like other famous people who r wearing beautiful outfits by well known designer jst to be ‘en vogue’ they r dressing in what they like and they do it by heart. U can see their passion in every skirt, jacket or jewelry they r dressed in. I don’t know how u think about this, but I would die for having only one day in their closet, jst to touch the fabrics, kiss the bags and snuggle the shoes! 

So I’m dedicating this article to my beloved friend Raffaela who’s going to be part of the amazing brand The Row for about 2 month and who has the honor to work with the best dressed women ever been part of a sitcom! Wish u the best sweetheart!

Emeralds on ur feed

Obviously it's hard to effort real emeralds for just gracing ur feed, but we can at least use that stunning colour of this so heavily valuable gem to make us look a little bit more as a goddess as we do anyway. It is a strong colour, feminine but powerful. It's not one of the girly-girl trends even though shoes like these make all women act like little girls. Something in between emerald-, petrol- and jade green, this colour is kind of mature but yet playful. It brings the wow-effect with it and to make an outfit even more eye-catching u can add some nailpolish in the exactly same colour to ur fingernails! But not the toenails, for those u better use a classical french-manicure. U can also wear some cute earrings in emerald, but be careful not to use too many accessorize in this colour. Important: it's either the nails or the jewelry. Sometimes less is more!

Black and white holding hands

People r discussing the question whether black and white r colours or not for about ever. So here we go: Black doesn't reflect any colour at all, whereat white is reflecting all the other colours. That's the reason why scientists r calling white a colour and black a null colour. But if u ask a little girl, drawing with her crayons on a white piece of paper, u can imagine her answer to that! Where I am getting at is that we r, tho' never thinkin' about that, setting black and white clearly as opposites. So what if the fact, that they r from the scientific view like man and woman, is the reason why the combination of a strong black and white is so damn fascinating for us to look at. Opposites attract and by being the two extremes of the colour table we r having in mind, there's no danger that these "colours" clash each other or any other colour.

Black & white is a trend that will never be over. Every Fashion Week designers r sending dresses in combinations of black and white over the runway. And even if there already have been billions of dresses showing that combination, we still rn't tired of it. Thanks to all these geniuses presenting us beautiful, exciting and unique dresses in black & white, every season, over and over again.

Want Candy?

There r different ways to convince somebody of ur handsomeness. Not that I'm Hitch or anything, but we all know that not only girls but also boys love candy. Everyone loves candy! So why don't avail urself of this fact, using it to show off how sweet u can be! Get on a simple dress, in black or any shape of white and add the accessory that makes that mans mouth water: Hot heels in soft shades of pink, graced with bows or other little details! Even when ur not meeting at the ice-cream truck down the street, it can be worn as a proper evening look by adding some glossy lipstick matching the colour of ur shoes. Now who's a sweet temptation?!

Who of u didn't ever dream about her own Rick Owens leather jacket! They r obviously adorable, all of them. Every jacket he ever designed is magnificent in it's plainness. Some of u may say his best times r over, celebrities r already through with it. No way. He's still a genious as u can see in his 2011 Spring/Summer collection, dominating the leather like Poseidon the sea. Gone with the summery Wind

Just by looking at these dresses I can feel a warm summer breeze on my skin, the soft and gentle fabric, lightweight like a feather. Wearing them feels like u have nothing on but still there’s this touch of silk. I never did, but I’m a hundred percent certain about that. And I’m sure the angels r walking around on their little clouds, wearing dresses like this all day.

When there's a trend that's easy to do it urself, it's printing and painting a shopping bag! Over the last month it established itself as a trend that's seen in cities especially in Europe. Buy one of these really cheap linen bags and start being creative urself. Or u can just copy one of these well known designs made up by Naco Paris or We Make the Cake.

The Earth laughs in Flowers

This summer it’s time to dance in the sun wearing flowers not jst in our hair but on our clothes! And they need to be big and full of colours! Little pink daisies r so yesterday, this year u can have whole trees on ur dresses without being over the top, especially the green leaves are beautiful with the red, orange, yellow, pink, blue, [field any colour u can imagine here] and purple, bright or soft coloured blooms. Feel free to even grab at the dresses that r looking like ur wallpaper! Important is that u can also combine different floral pieces, with different flower sizes as long as the colour schemes fit together.

Floating over the red carpet in HC!

What an amazin' dress! This not-so-typical-for-the-red-carpet-at-the-acadamy-awards dress by Givenchy is so lovely in the details, i cannot take my eyes off it! The combination of this soft pink with the bright yellow looks magical and the way the cloth is fallin' is jst stunning! It seems like there is an asian influence in the style, but otherwise it's very classy with pearls on the front. It's very feminine and the u don't have to be 20 to wear some kinda girly-princess dress as long as it's Haute Couture by Givency. So I can speak for myself, Cate Blanchett definitly has been the best dressed woman at the Oscar's 2011!

No stars but stripes

The last years stripes were mostly worn in the colors blue, white and red because of the marine kinda look, in combination with anchors on necklaces and other accessories. This summer this trend continues, but mainly in other colors. That trend is always giving me the thought of a summer house on the beach, with my feet in the sea. Doesn’t matter if small or broad stripes, orange, pink, yellow or green, on hats, bags, bikinis or tops. In an easy combination with beige shorts, a jeans mini or a white dress it’s the perfect theme for the summer!
